Life & Work with Andress Monique Williams of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andress Monique Williams.

Hi Andress Monique, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ve always considered myself a creative at heart. I’m originally from Brooklyn, New York, and my journey began in the entertainment industry as an actress. Over the years, I’ve been blessed to work in film, television and theater, but my story has never been about staying in just one lane.

After relocating to Georgia, I continued pursuing my passion for entertainment while also embracing entrepreneurship. Today, I’m the founder of The Andress Collective, an umbrella for several of my business ventures, including Gallivant Excursions, my travel business; Ready Set Notarize, my mobile notary and loan signing service; and Monetize With Mo, which focuses on digital products and helping people explore additional streams of income.

One of the projects closest to my heart is The What’s Good Show. I created the show during the pandemic in 2020, at a time when the world felt incredibly heavy. There was so much sadness and negativity everywhere, and I wanted to create something that focused on the good that was still happening around us. It also gave me a way to remain creative as an artist. What began during a difficult season has grown into a platform where I can highlight inspiring people, share positive stories and have meaningful—and sometimes very fun—conversations.

If there’s a common thread throughout my journey, it’s that I’ve never been afraid to evolve. I believe you can have more than one passion, more than one chapter and more than one definition of success.

I am currently represented by YJB Talent Agency and you can find some of my work on Tubi (The Urbans) and Amazon Prime (Ratchet The Movie).

My journey continues to be about creating, connecting with people, building something meaningful and being willing to reinvent myself along the way.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Ooooo weeee no! LOL. I’m not special. I’ve had to deal and navigate through this thing called life. just like most people. Being fully employed and finding a way to pursue my passion and business endeavors was challenging. The most recent challenge was becoming a caregiver for a parent that had dementia in addition to other health challenges. She passed away February 2026.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
am a SAG-AFTRA actress, currently represented by YJB Talent Agency, and I’ve had the opportunity to work across film, television and theater. I can currently be seen in the series The Urbans on Tubi, as well as the horror film Ratchet: The Movie on Amazon Prime.

As an artist, I think what I love most is telling stories that allow me to completely step into someone else’s world. Some of the most rewarding work of my career has been on stage. I’ve had the privilege of performing in classics such as A Raisin in the Sun, and one of my most memorable experiences was portraying Aunt Ester in August Wilson’s Gem of the Ocean. That role challenged me as an actress and was incredibly fulfilling.

I’m equally proud of being able to lend my talent to independent projects that tell important stories. Domestic Damages, for example, addressed domestic violence and gave me an opportunity to be part of a project that could spark conversation around an issue affecting so many women and families.

It’s difficult for me to choose just one project that I’m most proud of because each one has stretched me in a different way. Some have challenged me creatively, some have allowed me to entertain, and others have given me the opportunity to use storytelling to bring attention to issues that matter.

What I believe sets me apart is my versatility and my willingness to continue growing. I don’t approach acting as simply learning lines and performing them. I’m interested in understanding the person behind the words—what she has lived through, what she wants, what she’s afraid of and what makes her human. Whether I’m working in theater, film, television or an independent production, my goal is always to bring honesty, depth and a little bit of myself to every character I portray.

After all these years, I’m still a student of the craft. I’m still learning, still challenging myself and still excited every time I get the opportunity to tell another story. I think that love for the work is ultimately what I’m most proud of.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
I’m always open to connecting and collaborating with other creatives, filmmakers, actors, writers and people who believe in the power of storytelling.

Currently, through Mo’Diva Quality Productions, I’m serving as Executive Producer on Here Lies the Red Bird, a short film and proof of concept that I’m incredibly excited about. We’ve partnered with Fractured Atlas, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, which serves as our fiscal sponsor. That partnership allows supporters to make tax-deductible contributions to the project, including financial donations and eligible in-kind contributions. So, for anyone who believes in supporting independent film and helping meaningful stories make it to the screen, there is an opportunity to be part of what we’re building.

Beyond film, I love connecting with fellow creatives and exploring opportunities to act, host, produce and collaborate on projects that align with who I am as an artist.
