Hi slim, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Slim & Buddy started from something simple: two people building a life together, supporting each other, raising a family, and figuring things out along the way.

What makes our story special is that we have never pretended to have a perfect life. We have experienced challenges, financial ups and downs, career changes, family responsibilities, health struggles, and the everyday pressure that comes with trying to create a better future. Through all of it, we continued choosing each other and pushing forward as a team.

Over time, we realized that our real life, our relationship, our humor, and the way we support one another could inspire other couples and families. That is how Slim & Buddy began growing into more than just our names—it became our brand and our story.

We are an interracial married couple, parents, entrepreneurs, dreamers, and best friends who believe marriage is about partnership. Whether we are building businesses, raising our children, working on our home, creating content, or simply laughing at each other through the chaos, we try to show the real side of love and marriage.

One of the biggest examples of our partnership has been building House of Beauty. What started as a vision became something real through hard work, sacrifice, creativity, and Buddy helping turn our garage into the salon and spa Slim dreamed of having.

Today, Slim & Buddy represents love, family, entrepreneurship, resilience, humor, and building something meaningful together. We are still growing and still learning, but that is part of what makes our journey authentic. Our goal is to continue sharing our story, growing our businesses and platforms, creating opportunities for our family, and showing people what can happen when two people genuinely believe in each other.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. Like many couples and families, we have faced seasons that tested us financially, emotionally, physically, and mentally.

We have dealt with financial pressure, career changes, health challenges, raising a family, building businesses, and trying to balance marriage with everything life throws at you. There were times when plans did not work out the way we expected, money was tight, stress was high, and we had to completely rethink our next move.

Building businesses has also come with its own challenges. We have invested money, time, and energy into ideas that did not always produce immediate results. We have had to learn marketing, customer service, budgeting, branding, and operations while still managing our household and family responsibilities.

One of our biggest lessons has been learning how to stay united when life becomes stressful. Instead of allowing difficult seasons to pull us apart, we have worked to communicate better, support each other, and remind ourselves that we are on the same team.

Those challenges are a major part of the Slim & Buddy story. They taught us resilience, patience, faith, and the importance of building something together instead of giving up when things get uncomfortable.

We are still navigating challenges today, but we now look at obstacles differently. Every setback has forced us to grow, adjust, and become more intentional about the life and future we are creating for our family.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Professionally, our work sits at the intersection of beauty, entrepreneurship, content creation, and lifestyle.

Through House of Beauty, I specialize in luxury beauty services, hair extensions, healthy hair care, scalp treatments, facials, and spa experiences. I am especially passionate about transformation services and creating personalized experiences that help women feel confident, cared for, and beautiful.

At the same time, my husband Buddy and I are building Slim & Buddy as a content creation and lifestyle brand. We create content centered around marriage, family, entrepreneurship, everyday life, humor, love, and the reality of building a life together. We enjoy showing both the fun moments and the behind-the-scenes work that goes into raising a family, supporting each other’s goals, and growing businesses together.

What makes our content different is that it is rooted in our real life. We are not trying to present a perfect image. We share our personalities, our relationship, our family life, our business journey, and the everyday moments that people can relate to.

One of the things I am most proud of is that our businesses and content are connected to something bigger than just making money. We are building brands that reflect who we are, what we value, and the future we want to create for our family.

I am also extremely proud of House of Beauty. What started as a vision became a real salon and spa experience, and Buddy played a major role in helping bring that vision to life by transforming part of our home into the space I dreamed of creating.

What sets us apart is our ability to blend business, creativity, family, and authenticity. Whether someone discovers us through a beauty transformation, a Slim & Buddy video, or our entrepreneurial journey, we want them to feel like they are seeing something genuine.

Our goal is to continue expanding House of Beauty while growing Slim & Buddy into a larger content and lifestyle platform. We see content creation as another way to tell our story, connect with people, collaborate with brands, and create new opportunities for our family.
