Today we’d like to introduce you to Itifiquandia Alphabet.
Hi Itifiquandia , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey has been built on perseverance, faith, and a constant desire to grow. I started my career focused on building a strong foundation for myself and my family, and over the years I’ve worked in several areas, including customer service, accounting and financial operations, underwriting, and public health.
One of the biggest turning points in my career was joining Ashley Nicholson Agency at State Farm, where I’ve spent the last four years as a Retention Officer. In my role, I manage a large book of business, work closely with customers to protect their policies, and focus heavily on educating families about the importance of life insurance and financial protection. That experience has helped me develop strong leadership, communication, and business skills.
Education has always been important to me. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Southern New Hampshire University, building my knowledge in business and accounting. I’ve continued pursuing advanced education in Christian leadership and business because I believe there is always room to learn, grow, and become better.
Outside of my career, I’m also an entrepreneur and have explored opportunities in transportation, commercial cleaning, and short-term rentals. Being a mother has also been a major motivation behind everything I do. I want my daughter to see that with faith, hard work, and determination, you can continue to reinvent yourself and pursue your goals regardless of where you start.
Today, I’m focused on building wealth, growing my businesses, advancing professionally, and using my voice and experiences to educate younger generations especially about financial protection, life insurance, and creating a legacy. My story is still being written, but I’m proud of how far I’ve come and excited about where I’m going.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I’ve experienced setbacks, disappointments, and moments where I questioned whether I was on the right path. Balancing motherhood, work, school, and building businesses has required a lot of sacrifice and discipline.
There were times when things didn’t happen when I wanted them to, and I had to learn that a setback doesn’t mean you have to stop. I’ve had to overcome failures, career challenges, financial obstacles, and moments of self-doubt. There were even times when I had to start over and remind myself that starting over is not the same as starting from nothing you’re starting with experience.
One of my biggest struggles has been learning to believe in myself even when the results weren’t immediate. Through those experiences, I’ve developed resilience, patience, and a stronger faith. Every challenge has taught me something and helped shape the woman, mother, professional, and entrepreneur I am today.
I wouldn’t change the journey because the difficult moments helped prepare me for the opportunities I’m pursuing now. My struggles didn’t stop my story they became part of the reason I’m determined to succeed.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My work is centered around helping people protect what they’ve worked so hard to build. I’ve spent the last four years as a Retention Officer with Ashley Nicholson Agency at State Farm, where I manage a large book of business and specialize in customer retention, relationship building, insurance education, and helping families understand the importance of protecting their financial future.
I’m especially passionate about life insurance because I believe too many people wait until it’s too late to have these conversations. I want to make insurance easier to understand and show people that protecting their families and building a legacy can start with small, intentional steps.
I’m also an entrepreneur, with experience in transportation, commercial cleaning, and short-term rentals. Being able to work in different industries has taught me how to adapt, lead, solve problems, and recognize opportunities.
What I’m most proud of is the impact I’ve been able to make while continuing to grow personally and professionally. I’ve built my career while being a mother, earning my degree BS from Southern New Hampshire University, continuing my education, and building businesses.
What sets me apart is that I don’t just want to sell a product or build a business I want to educate people. I care about the person behind the policy, the business, or the goal. I bring a combination of compassion, business knowledge, persistence, and real-life experience. I’ve had to build my own path, and now I want to use what I’ve learned to help others build theirs.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson I’ve learned along my journey is that you cannot allow setbacks to convince you that you are not capable. There have been times when I’ve faced rejection, disappointment, failure, and moments when I questioned myself. But I’ve learned that sometimes the delay is part of the preparation.
I’ve also learned that growth requires you to be uncomfortable. Whether it was going back to school, changing careers, building businesses, or learning to balance motherhood with my goals, I had to push myself beyond what felt familiar.
Most importantly, I’ve learned to trust God, trust the process, and keep going even when I can’t see the entire path. Success isn’t always about how quickly you get there. Sometimes it’s about how many times you’re willing to get back up.
Today, I understand that every challenge I’ve experienced has helped shape me into the woman I am. My journey has taught me that your past does not define your future, and it’s never too late to start again, dream bigger, and build the life you want.
