Hi Micah and Matthew – NX2, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
NX2 started with two brothers posting cover songs online and sharing our love for R&B. One of those videos unexpectedly went viral, reaching over 4.1 million views, and that was a turning point for us. It showed us that people were connecting with our voices and gave us the confidence to keep pushing.

Since then, we’ve been focused on growing as artists, developing our own sound, and taking every opportunity to improve. Every experience has helped us grow both creatively and professionally.

Today, we’re an independent duo after parting ways with our previous management. We’re excited about this new chapter, continuing to build our sound, connect with our audience, and see where the journey takes us next.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of our biggest challenges was finding representation that truly understood our vision as artists. We went through a period where we realized our long-term goals and creative direction weren’t fully aligned, and that was a difficult but important lesson.

Instead of letting that discourage us, we chose to keep moving forward. Those experiences taught us the importance of believing in ourselves, staying patient, and waiting for the right people to come alongside our journey. Every challenge has made us stronger, and today we’re more focused than ever on creating timeless R&B music and building something that lasts.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We’re NX2, a brother R&B duo dedicated to creating timeless music that blends strong vocals, meaningful songwriting, and modern production. In addition to singing, we both write our own music, play piano and bass guitar, and enjoy being involved in the creative process from start to finish.

We’re proud of the connection we’ve been able to build with people through our music. A cover video we posted reached over 4.1 million views, showing us that our voices and performances could resonate with a wide audience. While we’re still introducing people to our original music, that experience gave us the confidence to keep building toward the artists we want to become.

What sets us apart is the bond we have as brothers. That connection naturally comes through in our harmonies, performances, and the way we create together. Our goal is to carry the tradition of great R&B forward while bringing our own perspective and sound to a new generation.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Although we are still in search of that home, we’ve learned along the way that patience, timing, and trusting your gut are everything. Every direction doesn’t have to be rushed. We’re trusting the process, staying true to who we are, and allowing the right opportunity to find us.
