We recently had the chance to connect with Patrick Hodge and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Patrick, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day start out with me thanking God for everything that I have because without him i would not be where I am today then i usually try to attack one task at a time whether that’s making a design for my brand or even just trying to learn a new skill.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Patrick and I am the creator/ stylist for the brand Katastrophy Global. I am the one that brings all of my designs and ideas to life whether that’s on Photoshop or even on my sewing machine. I consider my brand as a lifestyle rather than just clothing because I make every piece myself and each piece tells a story. I am currently working on a couple pieces for the fall, definitely looking forward to everyone seeing my vision.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
God Honestly saw me before I could even realize who I was and what purpose I even have on this Earth. I’ve found that my purpose is to be the best creative that I can possibly be and to make people feel good about themselves with the clothes that I create.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
I feel like we all get to a point in our lives where we want to give up because of change and honestly I will say to not let change in your life not motivate you on becoming the best version of yourself. Never forget that it’s only temporary and bad times don’t last forever.
