We’re looking forward to introducing you to Emanuela Joseph . Check out our conversation below.
Emanuela , really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: Are you walking a path—or wandering?
I don’t feel like I’m wandering. I’m walking a path with intention. I’m on a new wave, focused on rehabilitating my life, rebuilding & rebranding my businesses, and creating a life of integrity—one that I can truly be proud of.”
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Emanuela Joseph, AKA it’s Lala J. I was born in Ft.myers Fl raised in Naples currently residing in Atlanta, Ga but I’ll always be a Fl baby. I was born to Haitian immigrant parents who came to America and built the American dream so that we can have a better life. Since the last time we spoke Im a 2 time published author, Books are Dear E are you listening & Federal to incredible both available in hard copies & out on Amazon. I’m founder of a luxury brand of accessories called Xclusively Jeweled. I’ve been called an all-around entrepreneur I like to get my hands on anything productive that makes money.! Ching Ching . I’m currently trying to get through paralegal school. especially with everything I’ve been through. I try to learn as much as I can about the law. I’m a certified phlebotomist and surgical technologist, I thrive on exploring new opportunities. What makes my story unique is that I never gave up—even when i felt defeated & the odds were stacked against me. After 27 months away, I came home determined to rebuild myself & companies with resilience, integrity, and vision. I’ve accomplished so many of the things I once dreamed of, and now I’m pursuing my next passion—acting—because I believe my character, energy, and story belong on screen.”
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who taught you the most about work?
I learned the value of work from my father. Although he was a tough one I didn’t understand it at the time, but I understand now why I had to go through what I went through to get to where I am . He immigrated to America with nothing and built multiple businesses through perseverance and vision. He definitely went for what he want. He went above and beyond and did not care ! His example taught instilled in me the drive to create my own path, to stay independent, and to always go after what I want.”
Is there something you miss that no one else knows about?
What I missed the most is my childhood/ Teenage years. I grew up way too fast and pushed myself to move through life quickly. I don’t regret where I am today, but I do wish I had given myself the chance to slow down, to really understand life as it came. If I had paced myself and listened more, I probably would have avoided some mistakes. Still, those experiences shaped me into who I am now.”
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, what you see? Is what you get im just stronger and more self-aware than I used to be. I’ve gone through a lot of things that shaped me, but I’ve learned to embrace every part of my journey. I show up as my authentic self now—no masks, no pretending. I used my pain and turned it into purpose.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What false labels are you still carrying?
The one who has to fix everything” – Believing it’s my job to hold everything and everyone together, even when I’m tired. always thinking I have to do everything on my own to prove my worth.
