Hi LaKendra , thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
When a client steps into their venue and they gasp the moment they walk in and see the decor, it always makes me feel amazingly proud that I brought their vision to life on their special day.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am LaKendra Foster the owner of Kendra’s Kreations LLC, we specialize in event planning and decor services for all special occasions and corporate events. Being an event planner and decorator is interesting because it’s the perfect balance of creativity, organization, and people connections. Here at Kendra Kreation’s we focus on bringing our clients’ visions to life, as every client has a unique dream that is transformed into a magical experience. We continue to live in our brand of creativity in action, as we work with different colors, patterns/ textures. flowers, lighting, and design elements to create an atmosphere that tells a story. We are currently working on closing out our mid-year and end-of-year scheduled events and working on bookings for 2026. We continue to strive for excellence and creating lasting memories for our clients.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Before the world told me who I had to be, I was a free, curious, and unafraid to dream big. I was myself without any limits or labels.

When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
I stopped hiding my pain when I understood that silence could not heal me but speaking my truth did. I realized that my pain was not a weakness but was the root of my power.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
I admire my mother for her character as she showed kindness in her heart, wisdom in her words, and grace in her actions. My mother was resilient, gentle in her love, and dignified in the way she lived. Her spirit continues to live on through me.

I am doing what I am born to do for sure and walking in my purpose. I love being an event planner and decorator as I get to create and make unforgettable memories for my clients. Every detail I design and every space I transform reminds me I am doing what I was born to do. Turning visions into realities and leaving lasting impressions and joy at every celebration. Event planning and decorating isn’t just work, but it’s where passion meets purpose and heart.
