Mary, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: When was the last time you felt true joy?
My joy comes from my children and grandchildren. Also, when God downloads a new piece for me to paint.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a self-taught artist. Alot of my pictures come straight from God. I’m what you would call a Prophetic artist. In every painting there’s a message.

My brand is geared towards helping women see themselves through art and creativity.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
My relationship with the Lord and my mother. I watched how strong a woman she was and still was able to move forward in life. I draw my strength from both.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
You will be ok. You experienced a lot of things, but you’ll turn out fine. All the pictures you have drawn from coloring books. or just doodling; you are an artist. I’m so proud of you.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
My belief is [visualizing and believing]. I’m working on a few projects. I have a few books to be published in 2026. I am hosting a solo art exhibition in October. I will launch my non-profit in 2026 which is geared towards helping women creatively.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel at peace with a paint brush in my hand.
