Story & Lesson Highlights with Mocha of Metro-Atlanta

Mocha shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Hi Mocha, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
A recent moment that made me feel proud was realizing that my younger self would be amazed to see me turning my love for dance into a thriving career. It’s a full-circle moment—what once felt like a dream is now my reality.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Finesse Pole Factory is a one-of-a-kind pole fitness business that brings the celebration to you. Unlike traditional studios, I specialize in fully mobile pole parties—perfect for birthdays, bachelorettes, girls’ nights, and private events. Along with being a master performer who has graced stages with Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa, appeared in music videos, and performed at corporate events, I’m also a skilled instructor and a booking agent for local talent. This blend of performance, teaching, and entertainment allows me to create unforgettable, empowering experiences that set me apart from the competition.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who taught you the most about work?
My Daddy has taught me the most about work; from being organized, prompt, professional, fair, approachable and passionate! Thanks Dad.

When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
I found the courage to stop hiding my struggles with depression and anxiety when I realized how many others in the dance community were silently fighting the same battles. Sharing my journey showed me that movement isn’t just art—it’s therapy, healing, and a reminder that none of us are alone.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
My Mommy is the best person I know, because of her character. She’s selfless, nurturing, non-judgmental and authentically herself. I aspire to be more like her every day.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
With a Master’s degree in psychology, I carry a deep understanding of human behavior and the importance of protecting your peace, energy, and life force. That awareness shapes how I teach, perform, and create spaces where people can feel safe, empowered, and free.
