Hi Shatavia, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Integrity is more important to me because its what you believe in. I feel as though in order to be intelligent and have great energy, you have to know whats true to you.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello my name is Shatavia Bee and i own a fedora and accessories company. Im currently on a sabbatical while i get things back together before the fall season rolls around. Ive been doing this for going on 4 years and im getting more into styling as well almost like a fashion consultant, i dont want to design clothes but i love putting pieces together on both men and women.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
I met a guy in high school, we were friends who started dating and he always believed in me. He constantly told me that i have what it takes to run a business if i wanted to. He unfortunately passed away before he could see the vision.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, when tariffs and shipping started going up. I always wanted to stay just as consistent but i couldnt due to those factors. However, i didnt give up i just had to go back to the drawing board to figure out how to still keep my merchandise cost effective.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
Being the Black Queen that i am. My skin is light but im happy to be a black woman. I was raised by Queens so its only fair that I protect who i am, no matter what.

Public Speaking and making Tiktok videos. I love to encourage and let them know sometimes its okay not to be okay but dont dwell on it because mental health is real.
