We’re looking forward to introducing you to Terah Da Barber. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Terah, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
I start with gratitude, prayer, and a quick refresh. Light movement, set my top 3 goals, then fuel up. No scrolling—just purpose.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Terah Da Barber—husband, father, barber, and host of the Razor Sharp Podcast and owner of Cuts And Services By Terahdabarber. I built my brand on purpose, precision, and passion. I’m not just cutting hair—I’m shaping culture, inspiring barbers to elevate their craft, and guiding them toward ownership and legacy. From the shop to the suite to the mic, everything I do is about growth, impact, and leaving something real behind. Right now, I’m focused on sharing more stories through my podcast and helping beauty professionals take control of their careers through education and empowerment.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I’ve always been a go-getter, even as a young boy. That drive was in me early—I had a “by any means necessary” mindset long before I even understood what that fully meant. I never waited for the world to tell me who I was; I just knew. The vision, the hunger, the resilience—it’s always been there.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Never. Giving up was never an option. I carry the name Sapp, and that means something. My family has always moved with strength, pride, and perseverance—and I’ve always felt a deep responsibility to represent that name the right way. They never quit, so I knew I couldn’t either.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
Absolutely—the public version of me is the real me. I don’t put on a costume that comes off at the end of the day. What you see is who I truly am. I do keep it real and share my true life, challenges, and shortcomings on my motivational podcast, Intro Morning Mondays, which I co-host with my wife, Sherece Sapp.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
If I knew I had 10 years left, I’d stop wasting time trying to please everyone. I’d stop second-guessing myself, overthinking, and holding back on ideas. I’d move with even more purpose, protect my peace, and pour all my energy into faith, family, and legacy.
